We all are a unique expression of source consciousness. This means each person comes into this life with a unique essence, like a unique signature. Our unique role, purpose, desires, gifts, and mastery are embedded in that essence.
In an ideal world, the socialization and the growing process of a child could enable a child to unfold its unique signature- essence, gifts, and mastery. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Sometimes, we grow up in environments that are incompatible with us, and our unique roles, purpose, and gifts are not recognized and supported in the way we need in order to thrive and own them with confidence. We come into specific environments and are socialised in ways to conform to the environment and the people in it. This is why we learn that certain qualities we hold are good and others are not. As a result, we start suppressing and rejecting those qualities within us.
Let’s say that Maria when she was young had an artistic gift and loved painting. But she was raised in a family that valued practicality and logic. The adults in her environment valued so much practicality and logic that they started ignoring her artistic passion by not giving the attention and encouragement that she needed, giving the message that her gift wasn’t important. Sometimes, they even reacted by pushing her art away, making her feel rejected.
The pain she experienced from her parent’s behaviours was enough to discourage her from creating and sharing her art. So, what does she do in order to avoid these behaviours the future?
In order to fit into her family and society, she has to adapt. She adopts her parent’s values, in this example practicality and logic and reshapes herself into someone more easily accepted.
This adaptation keeps her safe. It keeps her close with her family. It is a survival tool.
As an adult, she understands that something is off in her life, she feels empty deep down. But she is afraid to question everything about herself. She has been so convinced that there will be painful consequences if she does so. Owning her artistic nature may feel life threatening. It might feel as if she will lose the people in her life, never get the support that she needs for her gift to unfold. It may feel as if she is about to dive into the unknown and potentially be all alone, ignored and rejected. That is what she experienced as a child.
If she decides to heal, her work is to grieve all those situations and events of her childhood. Bring closer and understand the part of her (the artist) that she suppressed. This suppressed aspect could need understanding, compassion, softness, encouragement, presence in her pain, and curiosity.
This painting intends to heal the heart space. Healing heartbreak and helplessness from not being seen and valued. It also activates the soul star chakra. The eighth chakra is located above the crown chakra. The soul star chakra corresponds to who we truly are, our alignment with our passion in life and truth.
